The latest report on this world-encompassing blog-happening has just been posted. Good ol' Lenn at Lenndevours has encapsulated all the entries under the Drink Local, Real Local Theme.
For Wine Blogging Wednesday (WBW to its friends) a different host sets a theme each month and participants post their take on the theme on their blog. Heck, you don't even need a blog of your own as your notes can be incorporated in the hosts write-up. Over the last year - yep, WBW has been running for a year - themes have been as diverse as Obscure Red Varietals and Wacky Wine Names. The idea behind 'Drink Local' was to find a wine from the vineyard closest to you. Entries ranged from Denbies Vineyard in England, York Creek in Napa and Vinos Jeromin in Madrid. Fascinating - I didn't realise there were vineyards in Madrid!
For September the host is the superb blog Chocolate and Zucchini with the theme of matching a wine to a chocolate cake. Clotilde has even posted a recipe to help us all along!
