Gail Simmons is TV's Best Judge

Photo: Bravo

The New York Post released TV's Best and Worst Judges today and it's no shocker to us that Gail Simmons has made the top of the list. "Attractive, knowledgeable and down-to-earth, "Food & Wine's" Gail Simmons personifies everything a reality-TV judge should be," says the Post.

As for the worst, Gael Greene and Toby Young made that list....

Be sure to check out Gail Simmons on KitchenDaily for her recipes, tips and videos.

Top Chef Season Six Contestants Announced

Top Chef
Top Chef judges Toby, Padma, Tom and Gail. Photo: Bravo TV.
Chef-testants for season six of Top Chef were announced today. The showdown will take place in Las Vegas, which Tom Colicchio assures us is a "very serious food town."

The primary thing a bunch of these newbies have in common? Tattoos, big time. Click through the gallery and let us know if we're wrong. That's not to say we don't spy some serious contenders in the mix. Talent ranges from Michael Voltaggio, chef de cuisine of the buzzed-about José Andrés Bazaar in Los Angeles, to the innocuous-looking (but perhaps culinarily ferocious) Jesse Sandlin, one of the tattooed toques, who sports a flower in her hair.

Don't skip the video of our four judges, in which Gail declares, "I'm eating very well," and Padma asserts, "A few of these contestants have even taught Tom a thing or two." Hmm. We'll see.

Are you stoked about Top Chef Vegas -- or are you over it by now?

Something new from Top Chef

Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi and Tom ColicchioBravo's Top Chef has cooked up a Restaurant Finder website.

Who better to tell you where to eat than the Top Chef chefs? You can type in the cuisine you desire and a city to get listings and reviews, or browse each chef's personal picks!

Some restaurants are recommended by multiple chefs, like Alinea in Chicago, which is recommended by Stephen, Radhika, Harold, and Tre. Their plugs for the restaurant even include "must eat" items. That's right. Top Chef even tells you what to order!

Stop bossing us around, Top Chef, jeez.

The new season of Bravo's Top Chef begins next Wednesday, November 12th, at 10/9 Central, and features new judge Toby Young, food critic and best-selling author of the book How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
