If you're not up for grilling a steak yourself for Slashfood's Steak Day on the 30th, then there's certainly no shame in indulging in a steak out on the town. The Palm restaurant will be celebrating its 80th anniversary on May 22nd at all of its restaurants across the US.
The best part of the party is that the special anniversay lunch menu will be $19.26, in honor of the year that The Palm was born. Celebrants will be able to choose from Norwegian Smoked Salmon, USDA Prime-Aged Rib Eye atop Garlic Spinach and Olive Oil, family-sized Chicken Parmigiana, and Pan-Seared Wild
King Salmon (though I don't know why anyone would go to The Palm and order anything but steak).
If you happen to be in Manhattan, you can go to the original Palm at 837 Second Avenue, on the corner of 44th Street.
