As someone who endured four years of cafeteria food courtesy of Sodexho, I found news of their new partnership with acclaimed Indian chef Suvir Saran kind of exciting. Saran has garnered all sorts of praise at his New York City restaurant Devi, and will now serve as a consultant for the 120K employee food service giant. Saran's official title will be "international concept and brand development partner," according to a Sodexho press release. Apparently Saran will work with Sodexho chefs to create modified versions of the recipes in his Indian Home Cooking cookbook. Superchefblog has more, as does Food Business Review Online.
