The recipes of Jimmy Kimmel Live

KimmelDid you know that the Jimmy Kimmel Live web site had a recipes section? It's true!

I can't remember when he has had cooking demonstrations on. I mean, I don't usually watch his show past the monologue and comedy bits (brilliant) because the guests sometimes bore me and the most of the music acts he has don't particularly excite me. But it was interesting to find these recipes on the site. He has stuff up there from Todd English, Rocco DiSpirito, and several recipes from Mario Batali. Note: you actually can click on the recipes even though it looks like they aren't linked.

After the jump is the recipe for DiSpirito's Chocolate-Butterscotch Fondue.

Cook at home with Rocco DiSpirito

Chopped red onions with knifeDo you want to make a special meal at home, but have no idea what you're doing? Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito wants to help you with that.

Chef Rocco is working on a new cooking show for A&E. He wants to come to your home and show you how to make an extra special feast. Rocco will walk you through the entire process, including how to plan everything and where to find what you need.

Right now the show is in beginning stages. "Cooking with Rocco" (the working title) is currently looking for applicants in the New York and New Jersey area. If you're interested in getting Rocco in your kitchen, you can either call the casting hotline (818-752-5559) or email cookingwithrocco@gmail.com. The casting producers need to know your name, age, phone number, a recent picture, and the reason you need Rocco's help.

So if you're planning something special, this could be a fun way to do it. Having Chef Rocco show you the way could really help make your event that much more special.

Please Rocco, don't do another reality show

Rocco DiSpiritoWhat on Earth would make Rocco DiSpirito want to do another TV reality show?  Didn't he learn his lesson from doing that utter disaster of a reality show, The Restaurant, where he was made to look petty and conniving? From all accounts that I've heard (I've never eaten in any of his restaurants), DiSpirito is a great chef, so why is he getting so far away from that and doing another reality show? Granted, this one sounds a little less cheesy and fake than the NBC show (seems to be centered more about a person's special relationship with food in their lives), but this just seems to be the wrong direction to  go in.

Of course, I'm one to talk. If a TV show called me up and asked me to be on a TV show where they covered me in cream cheese and tied me to a chair in the living room of the latest Real World house for a lot of money, I'd be there in a second.
