John Mayer Likes John Mayer-Themed Cakes

john mayer cake
I present to you, without comment, a link to the blog of pop singer and impish egomaniac John Mayer, who, apparently, is also a cake lover. In this edition, he presents the results of his personal Winter '08 holiday baking contest.

Note the numerous instances of Mayer-themed cakes: The red-and-white "JM" logo cake, the JM "Tree-O" cake with Mayer and bandmates presented as fir trees, the "JM" logo Christmas ornament, the cake depicting a sugarpaste Mayer singing on stage at the Nokia Theater, and, of course, the portrait (pictured).

John Mayer likes taco salad and veggie burgers

John MayerJohn Mayer has one of the better celebrity blogs. Not only does he post frequently, he's a very funny guy and a good writer. And now he has started posting about something Slashfood readers might be interested in.

His meals!

Yup, Mayer is now keeping track of what he eats and posting photos for his fans. He's doing it with a sense of humor, of course, because people seem to want to know everything about celebs nowadays.

"If I'm correct, America - no, the world - will want to see this. In fact, I'm not sure why I don't turn this mlog into a pay site. Oh wait, I remember why - because I love my fans. And I don't think you should charge money just because you could make a killing off something. I should add, though, that if I do go broke, I will need to charge money for this site so that I can have the means to buy food to take pictures of and then eat."

Lots of good food at the New Orleans Jazz Fest

Our friends over at Blogging New Orleans hung out at the New Orleans Jazz Fest this week, and mixed in with the reports of concerts by people like Harry Connick, Jr. and Dottie Peoples and a wild-haired John Mayer are reports on what the food was like.

Pictured above is the Indian Taco that Kelly had, and that looks tasty. Meanwhile, Mike had the boiled crawfish and the soft-shell crab po-boy. Wow, that looks...interesting.

Kelly also had a plate full of this, which I probably wouldn't try in a million years, but then I'm not a seafood guy.
