While living in California a decade ago, I fell in love with an unlikely character: the local
Jamba Juice cafe. Sadly, there is still not a Jamba Juice where I live now (Milwaukee).
So you can imagine my delight when I came across Jamba Juice frozen bars in the frozen-food section of my grocery store. You mean I don't have to travel to a different city to get my Jamba smoothie fix? Yessss...
Here is a tasting tour of these brand-new frozen treats produced by
Oregon Ice Cream Company, incorporating the fresh flavors of tropical and sweet juices, along with nutritional additives. For me, the best part is that each frozen pop is between 70 and 90 calories.
We tasted all five flavors. (Four 2.5-ounce bars of the same flavor are sold in a box for around $4.)
