Designer pasta shapes

Have you ever wanted to make sure people know that you love food? You can add a foodie accent to your home decor with these pasta-shaped cushions by designer Keith Mascheroni.

Predictably, the collection is called "Pasta." It features cushions and mats that are made of yellow polyurethane and are shaped into lasagna sheets, raviolis, penne, linguini and fusilli. They can be used both indoors and out - making the possibility of eating pasta salad at a picnic while sitting on the same shapes a strange, but real, possibility.

Unlike regular edible pasta, these cushions aren't cheap and range in price from $125-300 from Helleronline.com.

Giant red wine glass cooler

This drink cooler is a neat thing to have for a number of reasons. This giant red wine glass can, of course, act as a cooler for wines, sodas and beer at parties, but it can also serve as a prop for improve comics or be used as an actual glass for those who like their drinks strong. Really, really strong. The cooler is very stable and made of acrylic, so you don't have to worry about it breaking in the event that someone knocks into it. It can fit at least 5 bottles of wine, in addition to ice, and at least a dozen sodas.

Incidentally, I am amused that though the cooler is named after its red wine glass shape, it is being used to chill several bottles of white wine. Perhaps an alternative name could be the Giant White Wine Red Wine Stem Cooler, or is that getting too silly?

Chocolate imitates art

Artist Prudence Emma Staite is a lot like Willy Wonka in that she makes an astounding variety of things from chocolate. Her website, Food is Art, shows just how dedicated she is to remaking ordinary objects into edible art. Using fine Belgian chocolate, she makes everything from chocolate sculptures, like the chocolate kitchen set pictured here, to chocolate board games. The giant chocolate Jenga puzzle is made of more than 130 pounds of chocolate! She also has miniature chocolate games, paintings and does custom works. Her most Wonka-like creation is the edible chocolate room. The room contains pieces made entirely of chocolate, including a fireplace with mantle and chandelier, and even the walls are made of lickable chocolate with lickable sugar wall paper.
