The latest incarnation -- a mix between a double cheeseburger and a McChicken sandwich -- well, we dare not speak its name.
Deep-Fried Cheesecake
The first of the deep-fried abominations on our list. Believe you me that the deep-fried cheesecake sounds kind of yummy in theory ... it is fried cheese after all. It's unclear who invented this bad boy, literally a slice of cheesecake that takes the hot oil dip, but be warned: Unless that cheesecake is cold in the inside, you're gonna be crying in the mush that could have been a decent dessert.

The first Mars bar is said to have been fried 14 years ago at an Aberdeen pub. Be they Mars, Snickers or something else, these staples of Scotland and the State Fair make the list because there is just something wrong about deep-frying chocolate.

We're pretty sure those are dough balls covered in Coca-Cola syrup in this State Fair staple. Why oh why someone wants to harness the power of Coke and then deep fry it is a mystery.

This is a relative newcomer to the State Fair menu in the vendors constant quest to out-fry one another. Cookie dough ice cream? Heck yes! Fried cookie dough? Heck no! That's a cookie, people.

Fans of this abomination say it's a wiener, but this concoction made in Brooklyn, N.Y., makes the list because fast foods should never mix. Though we suppose those people who eat at the combination Taco Bell-Pizza Hut are tempted to put bread sticks in their seven-layer burritos. Go ahead, run for the abomination border!
Garbage Plate
Nick Tahou Hots is a Rochester, N.Y., after-party institution. And what put it on the map is the Garbage Plate -- upstate New York's ode to recycling. But don't listen to us. Let them tell you: "We start with a base of any combination of home fries, macaroni salad, baked beans, or french fries topped by your choice of meats and dressed to your liking with spicy mustard, chopped onions, and our signature Nick Tahou's hot sauce. Each plate comes with two thick slices of fresh Italian bread and butter." It's up to you to become the garbage disposal.
