Bad news for travelers this holiday season -- a USA Today review of inspection records for nearly 800 restaurants at 10 airports exposed that food items are being served under dangerous conditions.

Seattle-Tacoma International, Reagan National, Dallas-Fort Worth International and JFK Airports are just several airports mentioned in the study that are coming under scrutiny for violations such as cross-contamination and vermin.

Grab-and-go items pose a constant threat. "Grab-and-go coolers often don't keep sandwiches and salads cold enough to stop dangerous pathogens," USA Today reports.
