This is a good thing because Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World just came out and it would be a shame for the book to be even slightly late on the trend, since vegans and vegetarians - and most other readers - will love it. The book is written by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, who also authored Vegan with a Vengeance, and contains 75 recipe for dairy- and egg-free vegan cupcakes. The recipes are easy and mouth-wateringly delicious. Not too many people could easily resist gingerbread cupcakes with lemon "buttercream," bananas foster cupcakes or coconut lime cupcakes and - of course - there are plenty of chocolate cupcakes, as well as ganache, for the chocolate lovers. There are great photos to accompany the recipes in the book, but Amazon has some user-submitted food porn of recipes from the book so you can get a sneak peek of what you're in for.
