My good friend Jeanne runs a unique little blog from London. She just happens to be South African of origin and,
blow me, if she hasn't just won the Best South African Food Blog for the second year running.
Cooksister - a play on koeksuster a traditional South African deep-fried pastry twist that's been soaked in syrup, crisp on the outside, gooey on the inside - is also the instigater of a fun bloggers event End of Month Egg on Toast Extravaganza. That's all about having little cash and nothing much more than eggs and bread come the end of a month.
But there is more to Jeannes blog than silliness. Plenty of information on South Africa's unique food heritage enlivens the site for example. Anyway congratulations to Jeanne, if you head on over to her blog, say I sent you.
