In Beverly Hills, a boutique called "Sprinkles" challenges West Coast Atkins dieters with their wide variety of cupcakes, California-ed up with flavors like "Chai Latte" and "Ginger Lemon." Sprinkles owner Charles Nelson plans to open up outlets in three more cities next year, with 25 other cities targeted, prompting NPR's Brian Unger to ask, is this the next West Coast vs. East Coast feud? As Sprinkles prices their cupcakes at $3.25 each, or $36 a dozen, I'll throw my lot in with Magnolia, thank you.
