Everything Tastes Better with Bacon is a book for people who like bacon. Obviously. It features 70 recipes that use bacon in a variety of applications for every meal of the day. There are even dessert recipes, like Pear Apple Crisp with Brown Sugar Bacon Topping, though if you caught the episode of Iron Chef America where bacon was the secret ingredient this season, you probably already knew that it was a fine addition to dessert. The book provides a guide to different kinds of bacon and how to select bacon that not only tastes the best, but will be the best for your purposes. For example, you wouldn't want to use thick-cut Canadian bacon in the aforementioned dessert topping. There are simple recipes, like Cobb Salad, and more difficult ones that offer a more innovative take on bacon, such as Bacon Wrapped Zucchini Flans and Brie and Bacon Frittata. In this way, the book can appeal to bacon lovers of all cooking abilities. One other appealing aspect of this book is the photography: it is exceptional, as you might guess simply from looking at the cover picture. The fact that the photos are mostly of bacon probably isn't hurting anything, in terms of the book's appeal, either.
