  Oct 31st 2007 6:18PM We had a neighbor who was a regional sales rep for a cereal company. We got two full-sized boxes of breakfast cereal and a box of granola bars every year. We hated that house but my parents loved it - they didn't have to buy anything but milk for breakfast for the rest of the year.
  
  Another neighbor worked for the company that made Little Debbie snack cakes. He gave us boxes of Swiss Cake Rolls and Star Crunches. We loved that house.

  Sep 26th 2007 10:45PM Austin has some of the best food in the state. I second Trudy's for Mexican and the queso from Kerbey is the greatest bowl of melted cheese that you'll ever find!

  Aug 23rd 2007 4:18PM A spicy strawberry - simmer a strawberry coulis on the stove top with a dash of balsamic and some fresh chiles or red pepper flakes. Strain, cool, and add to your ice cream mixer.

  I don't see the big deal. They're not evicting Cafe du Monde in favor of a new Starbucks, they're putting in a Starbucks into an an empty store that previously held another chain.

  Apr 26th 2007 2:52PM There already are those places - schools and churches. I get annoyed when we end up in a place where I don't at least have the option of having a glass of wine.
