Apr 28th 2011 2:24AM "I work in this industry a run a 4 Diamond restaurant."
No, you don't. Bussing tables at Olive Garden doesn't count.
"I have 3 degrees from college."
No, you don't, unless you're an alumni of Diplomamill U.
Mar 25th 2011 9:12PM "That means no more monosodium glutamate"
Oh, we don't use monosodium glutamate, we use "natural flavoring"! TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
Mar 25th 2011 9:04PM "This issue sounds very simple on the face of it, but when you start thinking about it, it becomes extremely complicated," one industry representative told NRN. "How do you label items that have different methods of preparation or variations?"
Label each based on the method of preparation, duh.
Mar 25th 2011 9:02PM If any of the dingbats in this thread convinced Republicans to create jobs instead of focusing exclusively on punishing undocumented workers, or punishing labor, our country would be great indeed.
Instead, they're easily satisfied in watching others suffer, as if this is some sort of zero-sum game.
Oct 7th 2010 5:47PM GOOD, sodas are harmful, even most juices sold are mostly sugar these days.
"This is just another attempt by government to tell New Yorkers what they should eat and drink,"
I fully support Food Stamps, but this attitude is crap. The government has every right to determine what their food money is paying for. Soda is expensive and lacking any and all nutrition. If you need caffeine, buy coffee.
Aug 31st 2010 5:30PM "The spices in A were much more flavorful, especially the black pepper."
All that means is that KFC loads theirs down with more MSG.
Salt, pepper, MSG. That's what the chicken and breading contain, "11 herbs and spices" my butt.
Aug 27th 2010 6:55PM "Earlier this week, Devotion Spirits announced a partnership with reality TV Star Mike Sorrentino. Sorrentino, who is best known as "The Situation" on MTV's Jersey Shore, is the manager of a fitness center."
That's a pretty good reason to never try this vodka. Of course, I'll probably never try it for the same reason I'll never try ed hardy shirts, affliction, and tapout gear.
Aug 19th 2010 3:04PM Monsanto is not the industry I trust for what's best for the public health.
Jun 28th 2010 1:19PM "while there is controversy surrounding the use of corn for anything other than food production"
That controversy makes no sense, the vast majority of our corn supply is not directly used for food, anyway.
Jun 17th 2010 8:19PM "Hayes describes supertasters as living in "a neon food world," while so-called "nontasters" (do we really need to explain who those poor, taste-bud-deprived folks are?) "live in a pastel food world." "
Considering the amount of fussy eaters that use "i'm a supertaster!" as a reason to complain when you try and get them to try new things, I sincerely doubt this.
