Most Comfortable...Underwear (Shopping Articles Blog)
Sep 9th 2011 8:11PM I used to wear regular underwear, but I found that it didn't matter what kind of underwear I wore--french bikini, granny, boy shorts--no matter what it was, it was going to end up riding up my butt. When I tried thongs, I realized, yes, they obviously end up there too, but all the sudden I have half an inch there instead of several inches. As long as you don't get them too small, you don't even notice them. Now I can't wear anything else; whenever I do it's like somebody just shoved a whole pair up my butt. No thanks. Thongs are definitely the way to go!

Uncontacted tribe discovered in the Amazon (Gadling)
Jun 23rd 2011 2:22PM The article said that the policy is to not contact them (which I believe is the right policy). Why is everybody acting like people flew right in there and gave them snickers, bibles, crack, cell phones, and guns?
Do you people not read the articles in their entirety? -

Help! I Can't Get My Teen Out of Bed in the Morning Without Shouting and Drama! (ParentDish)
Mar 29th 2011 7:22PM You are totally right, Barbn. I can't believe some of these parents! What miserable lives they dole out to the children they love. My son has similar issues (Aspergers, so they say), but I "coddled" him into a happy, responsible 19-year-old. It seems many parents are too concerned with showing that they're the ones in charge. I've got nothing to prove, just a couple of kids to raise. I'm very proud of mine. I'm sure you're raising a kid to be proud of too. : )

Mar 29th 2011 7:04PM Dan, I do that on the weekends. Weekdays it's just coffee and a cheery mood. You have a good mom. : )

Help! I Can't Get My Teen Out of Bed in the Morning Without Shouting and Drama! (ParentDish)
Mar 29th 2011 6:48PM By the way, before you all start screaming about my son having coffee, the coffee is mostly milk (coffee-milk we call it). And if you're wondering about my other son (I mentioned kids), he's in college now and can sleep in a little longer, and he gets himself up in time for school, so I guess my method didn't foster irresponsibility.

Help! I Can't Get My Teen Out of Bed in the Morning Without Shouting and Drama! (ParentDish)
Mar 29th 2011 6:41PM Wow, there are a lot of mean parents on this comment board. I was expecting some rather harsh advice and was pleased that the advice was so good.
Morning is the start of your day, it sets the tone. I want the tone for my kids to be happy and positive; I refuse to start their days with yelling and conflict. My son gets coffee in bed. Spoiled? So what? He's happy, gets up to a pleasant mom, and we both end up enjoying our rushed but happy morning together. It doesn't make him irresponsible; on the contrary, he's more responsible because he's in a good mood. I do turn on the radio. Makes for a more positive day. What is wrong with all of you who say, "I would never do that for my kid?" It's not a freaking power play, people, it's your kids' lives. I want mine to enjoy his, don't you?
Also, the author is correct, school times are wrong for our kids, and yet society cares more about convention than change for the sake of our kids' well being. Sad.
Anyway, thank you for a refreshing article by someone who obviously looks at the big picture in the lives' of her children. -
How People Reacted to My Baby's Name (ParentDish)
Mar 24th 2011 7:19PM "A sound, old-fashioned name never goes out of style"? How boring and conformist! My son Stormy loves his name. He loves being the only one. When I was growing up, I was the only Megan, no matter where I went. When my name suddenly boomed in popularity, I was so disappointed. (I never was one for style or conformity.)
