Starbucks' new Vivanno Nourishing Blend (Slashfood)
Jul 17th 2008 10:06AM @Bobby G:
Hate to break it to you, but this is not a paid advertisement. I like Starbucks and volunteered to try their new drinks to review for the blog. I was actually surprised by how much I liked them, and I think that's evident in my write-up.
Also - I didn't list prices because I believe they vary across the country, but in New York City, they're $3.75.
Cheers! -

Slashfood Ate (8): Foods I can't stomach during the summer (Slashfood)
Jun 27th 2008 10:14AM Dear everyone,
I was merely pitching in my response to the America's Most Hated Foods post. I think seasonal food aversion is an interesting anomaly, and I hoped to engage readers in conversation.
To me, blogging is about community, it's about interaction. News posts are great, but when you're an active member of a subjective niche blog such as Slashfood, you ought to expect (and maybe even embrace!) the occasional opinion. Otherwise, it'd just be CNN for Foodies.
Best,
Kristyn

Slashfood Ate (8): Homemade Ice Cream (Slashfood)
Jun 23rd 2008 9:54AM For the record, I myself am lactose intolerant. The comment was made in jest, although I do consider the inability to eat ice cream ungodly punishment. And no, Lactaid doesn't work for everyone.

A friend of mine got them for me - she said she found them at Key Food (a grocery store in the NYC area).
