Barnes & Noble 'Nook' e-reader with color touchscreen out Tuesday for $259, says WSJ (update: Best Buy connection?) (Engadget)
Oct 20th 2009 1:51PM I dunno. I've got the 1st kindle and still love it. It's a little small but battery life is awesome. Love the thing. Will this has a cell modem in it? That's a feature I didn't realize was going to be that important.

What you missed in The Matrix Online pt. 2 (Massively)
Aug 3rd 2009 6:01PM You see little things in EQ2 sometimes. GMs will show up and hand out a couple interesting little quests. Nothing that advances the story line of course, and I don't think they're ever big scheduled things. But it's such a breath of fresh air to know that you don't quite know what's happening, which is a lot of the draw I guess.

Jul 14th 2009 12:34PM See, for me it comes down to exactly one problem:
framerate
All that custom content, even on a slick gaming rig makes for an abysmal user experience. I just can't seem to get past the fact that everything's choppy and slow. -

MMO racism: the No Elves! movement picks up steam (Massively)
Jun 11th 2009 11:39AM This is pretty cheap.
Anyone remember Talislanta? No? Guess I'm old.
Their whole marketing hook was "...and no elves" in the 80s and 90s.
Sure, these guys can do it and it's ok. But it's like thinking the music behind "ice ice baby" is original. -
The Digital Continuum: Business as unusual (Massively)
May 11th 2009 12:05PM Yeah. Keep microtransactions on specific servers. Let people play the game without 'em if they want.
