  Nov 29th 2010 3:35PM There is an emergency brake on a horse. lol.... what you do is slowly start pulling the ONE rein, be it left or right, in that direction SLOWLY. This will cause the horse to start turning to the right which in turn will slow him down little by little since he can't see, so he can't run. If you pull too hard too fast, he may go down and so will you. The BIT IN THE HORSES MOUTH is what controls him, and it hurts like blazes in the mouth. Unless the horse has had a bunch of idiots yanking on him for a long time, in which case, he gets a hard mouth. A soft mouth horse does not appreciate being yanked on. OR...YOU CAN KEEP PULLING LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHI UNTIL HE SLOWS AND STOPS. When you ride you need to keep calm, quiet hands so you are not jerking the reins without even realizeing it. If you lose the reins grab the mein and hold on, all the while talking to him and saying whoa..you can always hope! He can trip on the reins if you drop them and you will both go down so...DON'T DROP THEM!Most horses will try their level best Not to step on you if you fall but they can't always avoid this. If you want to ride, TAKE LESSONS FIRST. Don't just go out and think you can do it. It's not that easy when you don't understand this magniicent creture. IT HAS IT'S OWN MIND, IT SPOOKS VERY EASY...AND IT WEIGHS 1200 POUNDS AND UP!

Not to mention if you are yanking on a steel bit pinched in his mouth that's going to hurt and that's going to make him want to get rid of the idiot that's yanking. 1200 hundred pounds of muscle is nothing to mess with. duh.. liar..... got what he deserved!

  Nov 17th 2010 12:49PM It IS an x-ray machine. And though I agree with you on the end result it does give off radiation. You may say, not much. But we are being x-rayed all the time. Doctors, dentists, machines. The rise in women's thyroid cancer is testimony to this. Before you cry foul, watch Doctor OZ. He had this issue on his show, an expert was present to attest to it. I have this illness now and it started right after I had my teeth x-rayed so I KNOW it's true. I long suspected it was the reason. Dr. Oz just validated my suspicions. Radiation is cumlative. Meaning it stays in the body. That's why the tech's who x ray you, leave the room and stand behind a lead wall. Don't think these exposures don't matter. They do, though doctors like to deny it because it causes one more battle they have to face and figure out. Go ahead. Expose yourselves to the rays. But I'm here to tell you that the things that supposedly help us often times KILL us.

  Sep 13th 2010 9:53PM I agree Colin Firth was adorable as Mr. Darcy. Maybe Elizobeth was misled but how COULD SHE NOT WANt TO KISS THAT MAN, I'LL NEVER KNOW. One thing is the way he was dressed. What a gorgeous man. especially in that green coat ad stipped vest with those yellow pants, with all those curls. yum. His whole attitude of just watching Elizabeth reminded me so much of my husband. For two years just showing up where I might be and quietly watching. Something mysterious about that quiet man.
  People say why whoud HE ever go in that lake? Well, riding a horse at the pace he was going is very HOT. I mean physically. PLus he was upset over Lizzy and trying to run from it. Not to mention he grew up swimming in that lake so it was nothing new to him. What I want to know, other then Colin riding that horse and hitting with the crop and having it take off and surprise him, (in real life) I want to know WHO DOUBLED FOR HIM ON THAT HORSE! No name in the credits but what a hot rider. Was it Colin? I don't think so. However, it's obvious he did all the close ups and did pretty nicely. That is my favorite movie. I watch it over and over and practically know every word anyone says. Oh I couldn't stand Wickum evern when he was pretending to be nice. But the fellow who played him did an excellant job. Bamba was just excellant especially when Lady Deburg was mad about Lizzy going home. Oh his eyes, he was so funny. Very good job. Lizzy's mother drove me crazy but I can see, in those days, with women having no rights to anything, her fear for her daughters. It would be frightening to Know someone could steal their home right out from under them if the father died. FAther was great but so partial to Lizzy and not man enough to take care of that brat Lidia. Honestly, it was excellant acting all around. But young Colin Firth was .... delicious. I'm an old woman but he can put his shoes under my bed, ANYTIME!

Now a days, A LOT of couples already have everything they need from living together or having apartments already set up, because young adults are getting married later in their lives. I think that's why money is a very good idea. You don't have to give that much. Just what you would spend on a gift. After all, Anyone can use money to help pay for the wedding itself or the honeymoon. I think it's good sense to be PRACTICAL, and I don't give a dax who thinks it's tacky. Get over it. Either you love this couple and want to contribute and help, or you don't. In which case, just stay home and let them DUMP YOU CHEAP CREEPS.

But actually, maybe if we were lucky and YOU were on the plan, maybe he would have hit YOU in the head instead. Of course then YOU would have tried to sue, I'm sure.
