Dissing on kugel? He should probably watch out for all those bubbes out there--they're fierce when wielding wooden spoons.

There are the better and the not so amazing dishes in most every cuisine on the planet. case in point....if you weren't a real latin foodie, you'd probably think menudo was disgusting. If you weren't a soul food junkie, chittlens would freak you out.
OK, so what would be the way cool stuff that comes out of a Jewish kitchen? Braised brisket, real Knockwursts, Kishka with gravy, Sweet and sour red cabbage soup with short ribs stewed in it, anything with lox in it, smoked sturgeon or whitefish, corned beef, and the king of all cured beef products....PASTRAMI. Any questions?

I might not want to eat mother's Hungarian Jewish cooking everyday of the week, but I think you need to read our book, Monday Morning Cooking Club, to get a real idea of the amazing food coming out of Jewish mothers (and fathers) in Sydney. We are a group of 6 passionate Sydney women who have been collecting some of the best recipes of the Sydney Jewish Community for the last 5 years, and have just published the most beautiful cookbook with photography by one of Australia's best food photographers. Read the book, the cook's stories, and swoon. Check out our website or like us on Facebook, and we won't disappoint you with our Jewish cooking!

I'm not the best cook in the world either but I'm passable. Hopefully I can be known for other things. Cooking after all, isn't everything. http://newsy1.wordpress.com
