Taco Bell Demands an Apology After Beef Lawsuit Dropped

Love may mean never having to say you're sorry, as the old Love Story theme goes, but lawsuits are another thing. Taco Bell would like an apology from the folks who brought (and then withdrew) the lawsuit against them that claimed their meat mixture was less than 35 percent beef. "Would It Kill You to Say You're Sorry?" asks the ad Taco Bell has launched today in newspapers across the country. Damage control is expensive, and the fast-food giant has spent millions in an ad campaign bolstering up its image as a result of the lawsuit.

They've even produced a video of Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed explaining that "Lawyers Got it Wrong!"

We'll see if an apology makes tomorrow's news, but we're not holding our breath.

So with that said, did you research anything before trying to calling someone out?

Let's not encourage them to start using the gunk no can pronounce and may or may not be a cause of cancer in lab testing. The fact they picked Taco Bell makes me think this is backed by competitors trying to draw attention away from the really nasty stuff those places are using. Let's start taking an in depth look at that other stuff out there please.

If it weren't there you would complain about how dry it was. Commercial food has to be processed a little different than the food we put on our table. Remember, when food is cooked at home you eat it right away...this does not happen in resturants. I think Taco Bell is do an apology. What was said almost destroyed their business. How does one deal with that?

I looked at the "meat" and it was the strangest looking stuff....I just threw it away. It was like tasting cardboard. No I don't eat cardboard ! LOL But, I have held a piece in my mouth trying to wrap a box, so I do know what it tastes like !! They use to use just plain hamburger meat and now I have no idea what's in that mess !! I won't be buying anymore !!!!!!!

Even a stupid lawsuit with no merit and incorrect "facts" do damage to idiots like out boy Roger here. I hope they do get their legal expenses back.

It's pretty sad.

I don't go there much but, they serve more than 2 billion consumers each year in more than 5,800 restaurants in the U.S., more than 80 percent of which are owned and operated by independent franchisees. Employing over 175,000 people in the United States alone, they have outlets around the world. They produce jobs in a world lacking them, they give back to communities with scholarships supporting over 500,000 at risks teens, and they produce tax revenue. Where do you think everyone would be, without their business as part of the KFC and Pizza Hut family of Yum Brands and the US economy! Every company has problems and moves to solve them in order to better serve their customers. Taco Bell seems to be doing an outstanding job and in my book deserves an apology from the lawyers who decided their kids needed braces that week and they a new BMW each.
