Jamie Oliver's Massive Food Revolution Truck is Revealed

The one-man foodie phenom Jamie Oliver is taking his revolution on the road, and we're not talking about traveling in a ramshackle Winnebago with a shoebox-sized kitchen sink, thank you very much. No sir, behold the food truck to beat all food trucks.

Call it "Pimp My Ride" for the farmer's market crowd.

The tricked-out 18-wheeler is equipped with a full-fledged Food-Network-worthy expo kitchen and expands laterally to create eight separate cooking stations. There's also some sort of inflatable white "bandshell" attachment that apparently can be used to lead the masses in a chant of "cauliflower to the people!"
Oliver's personal crusade to change the way America eats and combat the rising tide of obesity got a boost last year when he was awarded the TED Prize, which comes with $100,000 to further the recipient's "one wish to change the world." The food truck, which was designed to "create an immediate, unexpected spectacle" wherever it shows up (schools, community events, farmer's markets), is just one part of what Oliver says is his 20-year vision toward healthier eating in America. He's also opened community kitchens in economically depressed areas of Los Angeles, and recently announced plans to open others in New York, Cleveland, Baltimore and Dallas.

Of course, this revolution is being televised-on ABC. And in keeping with the times, it's now on the web as well.

Watch Jamie talk to Oprah Winfrey about his food revolution at The Huffington Post.
