Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is a decent Christian woman, the type we need in government to effectively represent the decent and common-sense people of America. I voted for her once (McCain just happened to be on the same ticket), and I'd do it again.

As far as Jamie Olliver, well he's a chef and as a chef he out to know something about food and for him to agree on the nutritional value of eating the proper foods for kids (and adults) is well taken. These so-called conservatives just can't bring themselves to agree on anything the Obama's try to do. If Obama came up with a cure for cancer they'd criticize him for sure. As far as trying to educate our children on the value of good nutrition it's hard to see where the right-wingers could possibly have an argument, that is unless they are followers of Rush Limbaugh who hates anything liberal whether it's good for our kids or not. What a shame the kids (through no fault of their own) have to be subjected to this kind of hate so early in their lives.

You sound a bit loopy yourself. Don't know who Jamie Oliver is! Very sad. He Outclasses Sarah Palin any day of the century!

Slashfood, could you have picked a worse picture? From what I glean from his shows Jamie is a classy urbanite, and you managed to find the one photo that portrays him as a West Virginia farmer. Gold star for the completely out-of-context imagery!

It's one thing to educate, it's another to shove one's agenda down your throats. It's not up to the government to decide what me or my kids eat, it's up to me. I'm not stupid, I don't need my hand held, and that's what the government is trying to do. Did you know that the food pyramid is way off? Grains are what we are "supposed" to eat the most of (6-11 serv. I believe). Grains are full of sugar! Our bodies are made to process meat and saturated fat, not all that sugar! This countries health issues didn't come about because of fast food, it began when the government started pushing low fat diets and processed vegetable oils as "healthy". I recommend watching the documentary Fat Head, which is the counter to Super Size Me. It's all about the science of our bodies and what it's capable of, as well as the food agenda which mirrors a lot of what happened during the countries dry period, known as prohibition. We all know how well that went!
