We'll ignore the obvious questions (Why is a pizza joint turning out wings? What exactly is a chicken chef anyway?) and move on to the offerings. The new wings come in three flavors -- Hot, BBQ and Sweet Mango Habanero. The boneless chicken items are breaded -- let's call them nuggets -- that come with a choice of four dipping sauces: Kickers Hot, BBQ, Ranch and that new Sweet Mango Habanero flavor. Either chicken form comes at $5.99 for an eight-piece order, $9.99 for 14 pieces and $24.99 for 40. This is the company's first marketing push for chicken since 2002, notes NRN, and since 2008, the menu is 80 percent brand-new, says Domino's chief marketing officer, Russell Weiner.
"The feedback we heard from consumers was that they wanted more choice and customization with the boneless chicken, and of course, we know how loyal wing lovers are, so we strived to deliver on providing a better texture and flavor," Weiner tells NRN.
Like the behind-the-curtain pizza ads that debuted in December 2009, the chicken ads will appear documentary-like. But opening up the chicken coops isn't as easy as showing a bucolic field of tomatoes. Will they use a sunny farm full of frolicking birds to promote their wings? We'll see.

2-26-2011 @7:12AM Sunday said... Phoebe I agree with you! It was better before they "fixed" it! . We just tried the new DiGornio Pizza and Hot Wings yesterday - DiGornio pairs up their pizzas and chicken wings in the same package. Not bad. Now, there is NO comparison to the Tavern in the city, but I must say, it really was pretty god as long as you bake them exactly the way the instructions say.

The sauce they use is now too sweet. Taste like they spooned sugar on to the pizza. A great pity that they felt the need to change the pizza.

The old version was better tasting than the box it came in; the new one is better than the box if you like too much cheap garlic powder. I have for years tried to convice the provider of the Dominos that every town of a decent size has a great local pizza joint that delivers be it Caesertas in Providence or Nirchis in upstate NY or the famous various Rays in NYC...why do we even need Dominos, papa whoever when we can support local business and get better pizza?

I was born and raised in South Philly where the pizza in the mom and pop shops is the best even better than in NY where its supposed to be superior. then I got married and moved to South Jersey about 10 years ago where the pizza is so so, its only a 7 to 10 mile difference now I make my own, and its better than the crap they sell around here and much better than pappa johns and domino's put together!!

A liquor store called Pinkies in Lubbock, Tx are the only ones i have found so far that sell them. Their sauce covered gizzards are to die for. The first stop i always make when i go to Lubbock.

But ya know what, I don't think I would trust a place like Domino's to tackle them. I think they are more suited for a corner tavern. I love me some chicken gizzards and livers. But they are not like other chicken you can't just throw them in the fryer and let them cook. You really need to have some practice at them. Like to make gizzards right they require boiling first and just long enough in the fryer to brown the breading. Livers are delicate if you handle them too much they go to pieces. So yeah I don't think they should appear on a Dominos menu. I mean HELL the place is run by teenagers. I tell you what.... we have a corner tavern here that along with livers and gizzards they make "Mountain Oysters" Damn them things are good. Tender and crispy breading. YUMMY!
Note to those of you that don't know what Mountain Oysters are...... Bulls Balls, Beef Testicles, The genitals of a male cow.

I don't understand why it can't taste like Riviera Pizza.
The papa john's is to far away. But still worth the drive.

2-26-2011 @2:54AM Pizza Dude, oh yeah gimme some Dominos! said... I actually like the new pizza from Dominos. We get pizza a couple times a month and Dominos is my pick. We stopped going there before it changed because it wasn't all that good, and I can only speak for the one we have in our small Michigan town. Since it's changed, we have had some of the best pizza's from there. We get a large 3 topping for $11.99 and only have pepperoni, bacon and alternate between onion or black olive for the vegetable. We get their garlic butter on the side and dip the crust in it, yummmo, it's awesome!! I like the boneless wings and all of the sandwich's, too! I could go for some right now as a matter of fact. : ) Hardee's now have excellent chicken strips with creamy buffalo sauce and they're fresh, hot and tasty. The Pot Roast Sandwich from Bob Evans is delicious. We enjoy Applebee's '2 for $20' occasionally. That's about as fast as we go for 'fast food' and we rarely stray from the tried and true!.

To top it off you can get a Large Pan (Large Pan only) Specialty Pizza's for $10. That mean Supreme lines, lover lines, and a few others many don't know about. The Lover line includes the Veggie Lover which has, Green Peppers, Red Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives, and Tomatos. Thats 5 toppings for $10 which is $1 to $2 less then Domino's.
