Tacoliatelle - Fancy Fast Food

What do you get when you mix fast-food with Erik Trinidad? A fancy fast-food creation (strange concept, highly inventive chow). You've seen Erik's masterpieces on FancyFastFood.com. Now, Slashfood takes a look at how he pulls off his Jekyll and Hyde routine to make meals that, at least in appearance, could be proudly served to someone you actually like. We also paired Erik with nutritionist Alex Jamieson, of Super Size Me, who offers insights on the product's vital stats: MSG, calories and fat content.

Find out if Erik can convince Alex (a vegan) to taste his creation ... and if Erik himself dares to try his insane concoction.

I mean really give me a break! No ones going to go to taco bell, to 'redo' a dish from their food involving taking it apart, and wasting MORE FOOD just to make a fictional meal out of it. PEOPLE GO TO FAST FOOD SO THEY DONT HAVE TO DICK WITH COOKING!!!!!! Those 2 seriously need to find a REAL JOB!

Take a deep breath. Then consider he's not gutting puppies, he's not punching old women in the kidneys to steal their Social Security checks, he's just having fun making fast food look fancy. Would I do it? No. But I don't expect everyone to enjoy my hobbies either. If he's enjoying his, why DOES it matter to you? Or are you in such serious need of a REAL JOB that you have the time to have hissy fits over a cute post about a guy with an odd hobby? I guess so. :P

I don't expect, and in fact don't want everyone to like what I do, or be "normal" as I consider normal to exist. That would make life very boring. So hey, if he's having fun cutting up a Taco Bell burrito so it looks like a pasta dish, why not? It's obviously just a hobby of his. Or if he is making enough money doing stuff like this and posting it on a blog, even better. Not everyone can say they make money doing something they enjoy, now can they?

With most of them, by the time you go buy the food, then go through the trouble to make it gourmet, you could have whipped up an easy, real gourmet meal at home that ia much more nutritious.
