The World's Most Ridiculous Frozen Foods

Dumb products show up in the supermarket every day (honestly, does anybody really need a box of frozen crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?), but the folks over at Buzzfeed have a list of 15 products that take stupidity to another level. The microwaveable pork rinds and pickle juice popsicles are bad enough, but the breaded Obama Fingers are borderline offensive. However, we'll put in one tiny dissenting vote about the bubble gum ice cream -- most kids we know go wild for the stuff.

Can we not? Please? The author of this list just goes about insulting people for liking things they don't like. I mean honestly, who has never heard of a frozen pickle? And making fun of Welsh Rarebit? On a food blog? Come on.

Welsh rarebit is better than any Stouffer's product on the market, i'll take that over crappy meatloaf or mushy overcooked stuffed peppers any day of the week. And Cincinnati Chili? Food of the gods, my friends. Actually taste these products before knocking them. Also, those microwave pork rinds are pretty damn delicious

Take the chili spaghetti, for instance. I'm a Texan, so Tex-Mex chili has always been a big deal for me, and I routinely eat chili con carne on spaghetti noodles. I also make chili macaroni, which is basically the same thing. I don't see that as significantly different from putting an Italian meat sauce on spaghetti.

Anyway -- ;^)

Chicken Rings were made popular by White Castle, so a bit out of place on the list

Most of the other picks I could understand as they don't translate well into frozen food (like Spagetti or sushi).

If Jelly Belly can come out with some of the flavors they have for jelly beans, why not a pickle flavored popcicle? Watch Travel Channel or Food Network. You'll see a lot more unusual items being made there. It is just being a food snob to make a list like this.

It's all junk food of one kind or another, and in some cases really poor versions of said junk food. There's nothing wrong with a guilty pleasure now and then, but let's at least admit that that's what it is. Nothing to get riled up about.

Yes. Peanut butter is a healthy alternative to grabbing a burger and fries in the middle of the workday, and it's incredibly convenient to be able to grab one out of the freezer as you're rushing to get out the door in the morning to have it thawed and ready to eat by lunchtime. Plus, they're delicious.

But everyone getting up in arms over a buzzfeed article needs to really just chill, the whole site is pretty much meant in jest and to be taken with a grain of salt. :D

The Microwaveable Pork Rinds are surprisingly good, they come out really light and fluffy....
