Wendy's New D.T. Double

First there were the sea-salt fries, then Dave's Hot 'n' Juicy Cheeseburger. Now, there's the D.T. Double. Wendy's is on an end-of-year roll. Another homage to founder Dave Thomas, the D.T. Double, reports Nation's Restaurant News, has pretty much all the components of a Big Mac: two burgers, two slices of cheese, tomatoes, onion, lettuce, and a "signature sauce." Launching in Rhode Island and Texas, it will go nationwide if customers cotton to another Dave burger.

But we're wondering: Isn't "D.T." (also the abbreviation for delirium tremens) a little depressing? Wendy's, may we make a suggestion? Stick with just plain "Dave's" for your Double.

Never heard that. Couldn't they just say something like 'if customers respond well to the new product'?

Bella, Cotton to is actually a southern saying and means the same as if the people respond well to it but a lot of people do not know that saying so your right they should have just said responded to it. I don't know if i will cotton to it (lol) becuse it does sound like a big Mac and i do not like big Macs. To me it's all just fast food and any fast food is not good for you but that doesn't stop people from eatting fast food i even got to admit i do like to eat fast food once in awhile but mostly try to stay away from it.

However, I have never ever had a burger with a warm bun at Wendy's, the bun is cool to cold. I would like to know if others have this problem? Sometimes the bun must have come straight from the cooler. I would sure like to hear some feedback on this.

Pretty soon we will be paying $5.00 for a freakin burger! I remember when Wendys came to town, charging a dollar for a burger and it was outragious then!
