Years ago, people would have laughed in your face if you told them you'd be buying water out of a plastic bottle. Now, the latest drink to turn the heads of the community: milk. That's right, the humble white liquid that has captured America's attention with it's milk-mustache advertising campaign (and by being a natural companion to cookies) is going high-end.

Milk helps keep your calcium up, it tastes good , it's full of vitamins and minerals...and it helps prevent osteo porosis! doesn't sound like a wimpy drink to me. I only have one more thing to say....GROW UP and get real !!

If we are to drink any milk it should be from humans and only up to three years of age. Drinking milk causes osteoporosis and is not the cure that most people have been convinced to believe, by the milk industry advertising dollars. Milk when digested in the human body is a very acidic food and pulls calcium from the bones to buffer or neutralize the acid (this is also true of carbonated beverages). Cheese is just concentrated milk and therefore that much worse on the body. If you must have dairy, the healthiest choice would be to ask a pregnant or nursing mother nicely. Drinking the fluids secreted by a lactating cow, goat, camel, yak, dog, or horse, just doesn't cut it and will wreak havoc on the body's health.

It may not be on the menu, but I've never been refused when I've asked for it to go along with my dessert. The designer aspect is silly, of course, but milk is not just for kids and really shouldn't be given to cats.

We do drink 1% milk now, but I believe there is nothing like a good, cold glass of milk. Whenever we eat out, which is admittedly infrequently, I always order a large glass of milk with my meal. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Sorry, got to go. I'm really thirsty.
