Even burgers are getting on Twitter these days.
With the debut next month of Manhattan's "healthy fast food" joint 4Food, diners will be able to combine their love of burgers with their love of social networking, the New York Times reported.
Customers order the doughnut-shaped burgers -- and get to name them -- that are then broadcast on the Internet on Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare.
Burger orders are shown on a leaderboard that advertises which is most popular. Every time someone orders the burger you created, you get a 25-cent credit to the restaurant, the Times reported. If your burger is popular enough, eventually you'll eat for free.
And turning it into a game could make customers promote 4Food online as they try to nudge their won creations higher on the list.
And options abound at 4Food.
Customers can order beef, turkey, veggie or salmon burgers in doughnut shaped buns. The shape allows diners to fill the hole with a scoop of condiments or side dishes ranging from avocado to chili mango to macaroni and cheese, the paper reported.
The restaurant itself is wired for customers who can't stay offline. "There are more power outlets in 4Food than I've seen in the lighting and electronics aisle at Home Depot. And of course there will be free Wi-Fi too," the Nick Bilton wrote in the Times.
4Food opens in New York City at 40th and Madison Avenue on Sept. 7. A mobile app is also in the works so that customers can order from anywhere.

They don't have to pay market researchers, customers like to have their opinion heard, and they get word-of-mouth advertising which can be REALLY great. Plus those burgers sound really delicious to someone like me who doesn't like greasy ground beef burgers. I really hope this works for them.

It's been in business since the 50's, and even though it has changed hands a couple of times, the place remains true to its originality and tastes. They do a bounty of diffferent burgers, but also do other great sandwiches as well! Their Philly Cheesesteak is probably the best on the west coast, and they make a linguica sandwich that will knock your socks off! Oh, and let's not forget the unforgetable milk shakes! They have about 25 flavors and all are done the old fasioned way, using real ice cream, milk, and syrups, the spun into that velvety smooth and thick wonderful shake with whipped cream topping. WOW! After all the talk about it, now I want some... If you are in Anticoh some time, be sure to try this place out. I am sure you will love it too!
