Willy Wonka (a.k.a Nestle) is launching a new line of chocolate that they hope will live up to Roald Dahl's classic tale, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
"Augustus Gloop! Augustus Gloop! The great big greedy nincompoop!" Everyone knows those immortal lines, uttered by a chorus of judgmental Oompa-Loompas. Sadly, we think those Oompa-Loompas would be underwhelmed by real-life Willy Wonka chocolate bars.
But the company is trying to remedy that with a new line called Wonka Exceptionals, which will launch with --what else?-- a golden ticket contest. The lucky winner does not win a tour of the Wonka chocolate factory and a chance to float down a river of chocolate. But the winner will be awarded a trip around the world, which sounds pretty good too.
There are five chances (just like the book!) to win the trip; you are allowed to take three guests, and receive $12,500 to purchase chocolate from around the globe. There's also a maximum of 4 consecutive destinations (so you can't visit every country in Europe and Asia).
The new Exceptional collection includes a Scrumdiddlyumptious bar with toffee, peanuts and cookie pieces; a Chocolate Waterfall bar, which is white chocolate swirled in milk chocolate; and a Domed Dark chocolate bar studded with milk chocolate drops. Fruit jellies are also being unveiled, with flavors like grapefruit and goji berry.
These confections ain't priced for Charlie Bucket, however: a single bar going for $2.39, and $4.29 for a bag of minis.

Visiting his estate in Coral Gables, Florida was unforgettable. He went on "Flavor Safaris" to the Amazon searching for new flavors. He had a lot of amazing things on his estate he had aquired in the Amazon. There were rare fantastically beautiful orchids, and giant trainable toads the size of a cornish hen. And water lilly plants that produced a single giant blossom that bloomed one day out of the year & the newspapers would be there to photograph it. And there were winding paths that took you through this garden of rare plants & fruit trees. And my aunt would make chutneys out of the fruits and the whole place was full of these exotic aromas...And what is it like to be me, another Willy Wonka type ? You wouldn't believe me, and besides, I'm too busy to go into it....Alfred-
