Zip-Close Bags Have More Uses Than You Think - Tip of the Day

Zip-close bags are great for food storage, but they serve a multitude of other purposes in the kitchen, too.

1) Use them to marinate meat or fish before cooking.
2) Place tough cuts of steak inside, seal and pound for no-mess tenderizing.
3) Crush nuts or whole spices inside and tap lightly with a metal can or small skillet.
4) Snip off the corner for in instant pastry bag perfect for piping frosting onto cupcakes, or filling into deviled eggs.
