Simple ingredients can often yield bold flavors when combined. Take, for example, basics like tomato, bread and olive oil; together these three elements offer endless possibilities.
This Mediterranean-inspired tomato-and-bread salad from Stone Soup is mixed with sherry vinegar and seasoned with salt and pepper. The author cuts up the tomatoes into large chunks, then gently presses down on them to release their juices. To make this salad heartier, add in slices of jamón or toss with arugula.
