Johnny Rockets Expanding to Appeal to More Consumers

If you have a spare $300,000 lying around and you've always wanted to open up a franchised sports bar then you're in luck.

Johnny Rockets, the restaurant chain best known for its Happy Days style diners, is launching sports bars and mobile kitchens. (According to NRN.com that tidy little sum is what you'll need to open a franchise, far less than the $750,000 for a regular Johnny Rockets).

A Johnny Rockets Sports Lounge opened last year in a Six Flags amusement park in Queensbury, N.Y. and tonight there is a media bash for another one that opened last month on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

The bars are smaller in space than the usual Johnny Rockets joints and have televisions for cheering on the Jets (if you're in New York). They offer a brand-new line of appetizers that are served at bars across the country like empanadas, mac and cheese, nachos and yes, you guessed it, those ubiquitous buffalo wings.

The NYC outlet is also serving up seven different types of alcohol-spiked milkshakes that sound sinfully delicious like the Cosmonaut -- a vanilla shake spiced up with some vodka and Kahlua.

"It's a twist from the 50's diner feel of Johnny Rockets. We cater to the sports fan. We have 12 large screen plasma TV's, but there's also a lounge area for people who don't want to watch sports," says Quang Nguyen, the general manager of the newly opened Manhattan digs.

The is a land made up of every race..that's what makes the country special. The sooner ignorant whites realize this, the better off we will be.

Fact is everybody here is a foreigner. The American Indian is the only true American. Read the the Statue of Liberty we were designed to be a melting pot of people from all over the world. Now lastly I too want evrybody here to pay taxes for the services we benefit from. That pisses me off as well. I just don't assume that they are only foreigners, or people of color. The welfare system is a rainbow. Everybody from all walsk of life, colors, creeds, etc are in the system. You are going to be angry daily until you day Katie if you can't stand foreigners, because in America that's what everybody is! I'm not gonna get an ulcer over a racist, stupid point of view like yourself. So make sure you take your medicine because I know your on some.

My family has been in this country for 3 generations. If his parents grew up here, is that "American" enough for you? Am I? Or did your family have to come over on the Mayflower?

If you have the smarts, no matter where you are from, getting a good paying job or bussines is ok, but.......... they will give you money, jobs ,hotels, motels etc JUST because you aren't an American. We have people here that can't and won't speak English have stores that smell to high heaven , filthy, food sitting on the counter that should be refridgerated. etc. They own motels here, almost everyone in the county are owned by Arabs. .Just watch TV, most shows are hosted by blacks , commercial are black, even if they can't act. , very few whites, yet 85% of the people in the USA are white, 12% are black. I could tell you about IBM , and what happened to them here and why.
