Southern belle celebrity cook Paula Deen has teamed up with a gift wrap and stationery manufacturer to create a line of paper products.

International Greetings PLC and the Food Network star will bring to market a collection of stationary, recipe cards, organizers, boxes and food containers, the company announced in press release.

"I am looking forward to working with International Greetings in designing my signature paper products," Deen said in a statement. "I am confident that their reputation for quality and creative goods will result in great products at a good value."

The Paula Deen paper products will be available in May 2010 at more than 1,000 Michaels craft stores, and the manufacturer is in negotiations with other retailers.

"We are proud to partner with Paula Deen and her team and look forward to introducing into the marketplace exciting new designs and products under the Paula Deen brand," said Lawrence Louis, president of International Greetings USA, in a statement.

The company's U.S. headquarters are located in Deen's hometown, Savannah, Ga.

Deen, known for her southern family-friendly style and comfort foods, has sold over 8 million books and has a bi-monthly magazine, "Cooking with Paula Deen." She stars in the television shows "Paula's Best Dishes", "Paula's Party", and "Paula's Home Cooking."

You might not like the southerness of her, people often thing that those of us from the south are less intelligent (wrong!), but you can't argue with success.
I think you are a petty, jealous person to not see how loving and talented she is. I might not eat all of her recipies, but I surely wish I could. Maybe you would prefer Martha Stewart. She seems to appeal to self agrandizing types such as yourself.

I love her ways, she is funny and gifted, and adores family. I have never seen her say one negative word.

Isn't it always amazing how it's always those with lack of drive, ambition, and presumably talent as well, the ones who like to rag on those who've worked their ass off to find success? If Paula was their relative, they'd be the main ones kissing her ass and looking for money. Get a life losers.

Paula Deen has a nice personality and I can't understand why people would want to complain about someone who seems so innocent. What did she REALLY do to impact you in a negative way??
