Apparently rap has a bad rep at McDonald's drive-thru windows.
In yet another bizarre fast-food fable-turned-reality, four Utah teens received disorderly conduct citations following their ordering manner at a McDonald's drive-thru in American Fork, a small town south of Salt Lake City.
The teens apparently mimicked the popular YouTube jingle, which features rhymes to the likes of "Don't be frontin', son; no seeds on the bun!" They initially vocalized their order at a musical pace, then repeated it again slowly.
Culprit Spenser Dauwalder, 18, said the employees warned them that they were holding up the line, and they needed to order clearly or depart. Although he claims no one else was lined up behind him and his three 17-year-old friends, after the manager came out, the teens simply left -- but the store's manager took down their license information and contacted the police.
The police caught up with the teenagers at a high school parking lot and issued the citations -- which, according to Dauwalder's mother, are being contested.

Things weren't like this when I was growing up in the 80s/90s, its just beyond ridiculous now. Europe already thinks of us as the laughing stock of the world. They think we are so stupid, arrogant and that yes, we LOVE McDonalds. I went to a 4th grade classroom in Germany and the first question they asked me was "Do you REALLY love McDonalds!?" The 4th graders there already spoke English fluently, as well as French and their native language. Amazing kids, spoke and wrote English as a 2nd language better than our kids do.

I never did anything stupid like that when I was growing up. Suppose the cashier was hadicapped or if it was a small mom and pop business the tables might have been turned on the opions. For all we know, the kids were probably high.

This was ridiculous, Dave-there are much worse things that go on in this country that the police need to concentrate on-such as all these beautiful children being kidnapped, raped and murdered-usually by someone who is a convicted pedophile or rapist-ie Jaycee Dugard. What about the atrocity that occured in CA to that 15 year old girl? I would much rather be held up in a line at a drive through than have to plan my childs funeral-or have her set up in counseling for most if not all of her life. Get your priorities straight-and get a sense of humor!!

What "bad bad kids"....no wonder the younger segment of our population is so confused! Drug culture and promiscuity are rampant and even idolized while a bit of harmless fun is....punished!??!?

I mean whats worse, ordering something from rambling foreigners and still not getting the order correct (while holding up a line) or just having 4 boys out doing harmless things? You never find a cop with a sense of humor no more. Always ready to come down on someones head for whatever reason nowadays.

Aside from the rap crap that they call musical talent, which it isn't, like alot of places, doesn't McDonald's have video surveillance so that law enforcement and/or lawyers can check the validity of the defendant's claim that there wasn't any other vehicles in line behind them, as they say? It doesn't say anywhere in this story that the responding officer(s)checked the video, which I would think McDonald's has. If they do have video surveillance cameras, were they(the cameras)working , and were they on? What a waste of taxpayer's money to even have this go to court.

Additionally, they weren't cited for rapping but for failing to move on when asked and holding up the line. Perhaps you can have your day messed up by someone causing you delays when they are only having fun. Hope you remember your attitude about these guys and keep a smile on your face.
