Tip of the Day - Frosting Truffles

Leftover frosting? Roll it into quick truffles.

If you've made cupcakes or iced a cake, leftover frosting is inevitable. In the vein of "waste not, want not," instead of throwing the excess out, turn it into decadent truffles.

Either by hand or with a melon scoop, roll balls of chilled, stiff frosting into quick truffles. Then roll the truffles in cocoa powder, finely chopped nuts, shredded coconut or your favorite truffle topping. Store in the refrigerator or freezer as a special confection for whenever the mood strikes.
