We told you back in August that Jennifer Aniston was considering opening up her very own eatery. And on Tuesday night's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," the sitcom-turned-movie star confirmed our report, revealing she wants to open a Mexican restaurant in New York City.
The reason why might surprise you.
"Cause I love Mexican food, and usually a great night is had in a Mexican restaurant, no?" Aniston told O'Brien on Sept. 15.
Aniston told the late-night host she's "always wanted to open a restaurant" and that "New York needs a Mexican -- New York City needs a great [Mexican restaurant]."
The actress is no stranger to the New York City restaurant scene: Back in the day, her father owned the Fives in Gotham.
And like many struggling actors, Aniston waitressed for "a good couple of years" before she became an A-lister. She said she'd even be up for reliving those pre-glory days by guest-waitressing on occasion.
"I think it would be fun once in a while," Aniston admitted.
Slashfood asked our readers if they would give Chef Aniston a shot and 67 percent of you said "yes!" Now, we want to know if you'd want the Hollywood starlet to take your margarita order.

Britney Spears: NYLA
OK, so NYLA is no longer in existence, but it was for a very short while in 2002 fronted by Britney Spears. The NYC-meets-New Orleans joint was doomed from the start with reports of hygiene violations, food poisoning and even the stabbing of a customer. The pop star did not lend any money, and thus wasn't an actual owner, but in the music and restaurant biz, name and image equal money. Restaurant ownership may not be something Britney will consider hitting one more time in the future.
