Archway Windmill Cookies Back on Shelves

After going into bankruptcy and closing its doors last October, cookie company Archway has been resuscitated.

Lance Inc. (of snack food fame) purchased Archway in December of last year, getting the Archway factory in Ashland, Ohio, back up and running as quickly as possible, an Archway spokeswoman tells Slashfood. Lance has since rehired most of its former employees and is in the process of rejuvenating the iconic brand, while staying true to the original recipes.

Currently, Archway is manufacturing more than 20 varieties of their everyday cookie selection (including the Windmill, a milk and cookie break staple) and will be relaunching their famous holiday cookies in November, for the first time in two years. Let the nostalgic dunking resume!

I thought my memory was fading, I found them at Publix one day by accident here in GA, went back the next week they were gone and no one could tell me why. I love anything lemon, so does my dad and I was going to surprise him with a bag, but that didn't happen. They are the best cookie makers of all time and I hope they will come back soon. Thank you

I was born and rease in Holland the land of the windmills and the original windmill cookies.
I also lived 20 years in Germany were you find the windmill cookies made in Germany.
Now I am 25 years in the USA and still love windmill cookies.
There are several windmill cookie producers in the US.
But to give then from 0-5 stars most Windmill cookies from Holland receive 5 Stars.
Followed very close by Archway 4.9 stars this for "quality" and "Taste".
But Achway is leading by something else over Holland by 5 stars Archway and Holland 2.5 stars.
And this is very simple but till today my secret.
I also like Archway other cookies. Thanks Lance to keep the place at the place and the poeple running.
Homemade taste and quality.
Thomas.
