Waffle House to Honor Loyal Customers

If the local Waffle House just happens to be your second home, this is your week!

The chain, based in Norcross, Ga., is celebrating National Waffle Week by honoring its patrons -- those regulars who often duck in for a fix of T-bones, country ham, cheese 'n eggs and waffles.

Through Sept. 12, local Waffle Houses will be awarding their Top 20 customers with "Official Regular" pins, and more than 31,000 customers are expected to be honored at the chain's approximately 1,550 restaurants.

And as it's National Waffle Week, Waffle House is also rolling out a new flavor.

The banana-nut waffle is made with buttermilk, banana nougat and nuts. The new menu item joins a lineup of waffle flavors that include blueberry, chocolate chip, pecan-chocolate chip, strawberry, pecan and traditional sweet cream.

For those who think they can polish off more than one waffle, some Waffle Houses will be holding waffle-eating contests throughout the week.

9-16-2009 @6:01PM jerry said... you can call the corporte office all you want about any waffle house. they call that store and tell them they are comming to visit.so what do you get? the place cleaned up and reliable people working that day. they should just visit do not tell anyone they are going to be there. our waffle house manager party's with their young things. he has no guts to fire any of them. so as long as they work the sales will stay in the toliet. maybe he is happy with it that way

10-01-2009 @10:07AM jerry said... i would like to say i am sorry to my friend that is getting all the greive about my comments on the ft. myers waffle house.i should have used my own email but i was at her house and did my comments under hers. now they are going to ban her from the place. i was in there wednesday nite and the staff was talking about it. they ignore her when she is there but that does't stop her from going in she's been going there for over 20 years. what ever happened to freedom of speech? she was only repeating things that she either saw or heard. if they do ban her then i will stand behind her all the way. i have told her she can see a lawyer, go to the wink news , or go to the news press. i will verify everything that was done was through me. again mare i am so sorry for this mess.i guess there is no freedom of speach when it comes to comments. we will soon find out
