Don't have chocolate sauce in the fridge? No problem. A decadent sauce is a snap to create.

As Michael Ruhlman notes in his recent book "Ratio" and on his blog, a delicious chocolate sauce to perk up dessert is made from a simple one-to-one ratio of cream and chocolate. Just heat up the cream until it's hot (steep with tasty items like coffee or ginger if you're feeling extra adventurous) and pour over the chocolate. After a few minutes, the chocolate will melt to the point where it can be mixed. Soon the chunky mixture will come together into a rich and creamy sauce that's ready for pouring.

A little cream, a little chocolate and a few minutes of effort mean never letting your ice cream go naked again!
