Thought you've made the perfect burger, but instead you get some uneven mass of meat?

Next time, trying making a slight depression in the center of hamburgers before cooking.
The heat from the grill causes the meat to contract. If you make a quarter-inch dimple in the center of the raw meat, you'll get a uniform, flat burger that cooks evenly.
