Hardee's Biscuit Holes Need a New Name
A new Hardee's product needs a better name.
That's the premise of a risque ad campaign -- Name Our Holes -- for Hardee's Biscuit Holes, a dunkable cinnamon and sugar dough treat.
"Frosty Nuts," "Goody Balls" and "Happy Holes" are some of the tamer names floated in the commercials for the deep-fried biscuits.
The chain is selling the Biscuit Holes in six- ($1.29) and 12-packs ($1.99).
"What to call them was a big challenge," says Brad Haley, Hardee's vice president of marketing. "One of my favorite options was 'Biznuts,' a cross between 'biscuits' and 'donuts' ... but there were many other suggestions that were very funny. Unfortunately, I can't repeat them here."

I contacted the Hardees corporate office once and told them how gross and in poor taste their commercials are. You have guys stuffing their mouths full and speaking at the same time, and the woman licking the sauce off her body as she eats a burger (my husband even said this one made him sick)! And now the donut hole saga. Their commercials teach young people poor manners. I no longer patronize Hardees.
