Jamba Juice to Sell Food

jamba juice lid

Smoothies won't be the only thing on Jamba Juice's menu beginning Monday.

We knew that Jamba had dabbled with oatmeal and boasted a secret menu, but now the chain will begin selling a full lineup of wraps, sandwiches and salads at 222 California locations on June 15. A nationwide rollout of the "Grab and Go" line will follow later this year.

I am in my 40's and recently lost over 80 pounds and after battling my weight for years, I know I will never be heavy again. I am not thin, but I am healthy, curvy and normal and am happy with how much I get to eat to maintain my size.

I stopped eating lots of processed foods (but still love fast food in controlled portion sizes!) and discovered the huge advantage of adding fiber to your diet. You feel fuller and more satisfied longer. I used to start my day with a muffin and a dietpepsi. All empty calories and loaded with fat. I now have a thick greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons of fitflax http://www.fitflax.com and some berries. Fitflax is a golden roasted flax and chia blend that is nutty, delicious and low carb and low cal. Since it is roasted it does not have to be ground and it is loaded with Omega 3's and antioxidants. So not only did I lose weight, but my skin is fabulous now too.

I would love if jamba Juice offered a low cal/low carb wrap that was under $5. I love that in New York that Jamba Juice lists the calories next to all its oferings.

Master Shake

ALL American fruit and juice is total crap - whether you pay $5 a cup, or you get off your lazy ass and squeeze your own for $1 a cup using that god-awful fruit you can buy in your supermarkets that's genetically engineered, picked green then exposed to toxic gas to change the color of the skin to something that looks ripe. The sad thing is that 99% of Americans will live their entire lives not even knowing what fruit and vegetables are supposed to taste like.

Yeah, a lot of the fruit in big-city supermarkets is shipped green and ripened in transit. But you're forgetting the millions of Americans who buy their fresh fruit & veggies at farmer's markets and farmshares, not to mention the increasingly-larger organic produce sections at supermarkets. The "buy local" movement is growing in America and tons of people are eating great fruits & veggies.
