The one thing I learned most from these writing these posts is that consumer knowledge is priceless. I walked into Williams-Sonoma and Crate and Barrel last week armed and prepared. I wrote down several specific items that many of you recommended, took the "gun" in hand and started scanning away. It had to be one of the most enjoyable moments of my engagement so far. So after all the posts and comments, what did I register for and who do I have to thank? Find out after the jump. Make sure to scan through my list to see if I missed anything. With the powers of online registering, I can sign online and add it to my registry quickly!

Pots and Pans
The majority of readers and voters (62 percent) recommended that I register for individual pieces rather than register for a set, which can be costly. Both Astin and Stuart Broz spoke about extraneous pots that sometimes come in sets. Since I have been cooking for some time, I have started a decent collection and I don't want to overlap and register for anything I already have. Thefishie also offered great advice: Keep different finishes in mind when registering for different pieces. We mulled over offerings including copper, stainless steel and nonstick.
What I chose:
All-Clad Brushed Stainless Steel -- Nonstick fry pan, 10 inches; Stockpot, 8 quart
All-Clad Stainless Steel -- Multi pot with Strainer, 12 quarts; Braiser, 10 inches
All-Clad Copper Core -- Fry pan, 12 inches; Sauce pot, 3 quarts; Sauté pan, 6 quarts
Ruffoni Copper -- Sauce pot, 2 quarts; Gratin pan
(NB: I already own two Le Creuset French ovens and two cast iron skillets.)
Cutlery
Owning a good set of knives is important. There's nothing worse than trying to chop with a dull blade or handle that doesn't fit your hand well. Luckily, I already own a fantastic set of Shun knives that will hold me over for years. Yet, I do not own steak knives. A short conversation with @weddingistas on Twitter changed all of that. Wanting something classic yet sleek and with a heavy handle, I decided to register for the Wüsthof Classic Ikon Steak Knives set. I can't wait to dive into my first grilled steak with them!
Appliances
Kitchen appliances can make our lives so much easier, but they also take up a lot of space. In a poll here, 32 percent of Slashfoodies said that the food processor was their favorite appliance, with the stand mixer coming in at a close 26 percent. One of the biggest conundrums I had dealt with was registering for the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker or KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker attachment. I decided to skip the rice and bread maker for now; I can always get them in the future. With help from Barkin, CD, SJ and Amanda, these are the results:
Cuisinart Pure Indulgence 2 Quart Ice Cream Maker (it's new!)
All-Clad Slow Cooker
Cuisinart SmartStick Hand Blender
Breville Electric Citrus Press
Cuisinart Spice and Nut Grinder
(I already own a stand mixer, pasta attachment for the stand mixer, deep fryer, toaster, blender, processor, mini-processor and coffee maker.)
Kitchen Tools
Thought I would add these tools in the post for other brides-to-be. If you love to cook or entertain, it's great to have these other items on hand:
Large wood cutting board
Potato ricer
Mortar and pestle
Cocktail shaker
Bar tools
Wine cooler
Punch bowl
Thanks to all of you who have helped me in this process. I truly could have not done it without you.
