Slashfood Readers Pick the Best Sandwiches in America

blt
A few weeks ago, I wrote about my top 10 favorite sandwiches in America, and asked you to share your picks. We got more than 50 responses, from shrimp po'boys in New Orleans to cheesesteaks in Philadelphia to Vietnamese bahn mi in Portland to something called the "Sloppy Irishman" in Ohio. They used to serve from a (literally) window in the side of Filenes. However, I don't know what the hyperlink is possibly linking to. i don't think Gateway market in IA has anything to do with Chac in BOS.

Have you tried Schlotzsky's new Big League Clubz? Sooo tasty. The Beef 'n Bacon seems to be a popular choice, haha. They're also running a baseball sweepstakes until 5/31/09 as part of the sandwich release; hit up http://www.bigleagueclubz.com and check it out fo sho.

And as good as the Parmageddon is, *every* sandwich on their menu will make you want to live there. (I can't even pick a favorite, not to mention the monthly specials that I wish were on the menu.) The week they opened I ate there 4 times... (Which isn't quite as insane as it sounds - I live but a few blocks away.) Anytime friends or family from out of town come to visit I take them there - and every single person raves on and on about it.
