Cooking Demonstration Series at Broadway Panhandler



This past month's issue of Saveur Magazine was dedicated to the home cook. In honor of that, Saveur and Broadway Panhandler have teamed up to host a four-part cooking demonstration series featuring editors and recipes from the Saveur 100 issue. Beginning January 24 and running through February 14, the demo series will offer customers advice on topics ranging from vinegars, salt, pots and pans and bartending.

Vinegar 101, January 24, 2009; 3pm
Food Editor Todd Coleman will show how vinegar can enhance the flavor of any meal and demonstrate SAVEUR's tried-and-true recipe for Worcestershire sauce.

Salt 101, January 31, 2009; 3pm
Hunter Lewis, SAVEUR'S Kitchen Director will demonstrate the Jan/Feb 2009 Cover recipe Chicken Breast Stuffed with Raclette, Herbs, and Prosciutto and lead a discussion on the perfect salt to elevate any dish.

Pots & Pans 101, February 7, 2009; 3pm
SAVEUR Editor-in-Chief James Oseland will share the magazine's favorite kitchen tools and demonstrate recipes including homemade ketchup and sautéed greens.

Bartending 101, February 14, 2009; 3pm
TV personality and SAVEUR Contributing Editor Dave Lieberman will show home cooks some bartender-worthy tricks to make cocktails including The Flame, The Stir, The Crush and The Shake.
