
As handy as ice is, it has this pesky habit of melting. Most of the time it's fine -- you just make sure you don't add too much ice, or drink the beverage before the ice can melt. You could try to get around it with those specially frozen balls and things, but they can be sketchy.
There's another way -- frozen drink cubes.
This won't work if you've got a really small and full freezer, but if you have a little room -- freeze cubes of your favorite drinks. As the cubes melt, they won't dilute your drink, and you'll be saved from that post-dinner watery abomination.
You could even get creative and use the cubes to add subtle flavors. For example, mix up some cherry syrup and water, freeze it, and add it to your cola for a subtle cherry cola.
