Barack Obama, Restaurant Critic
While President Elect Barack Obama's dining budget may have scaled up a tad since '01, the then State Senator was already a passionate fan of food. Enjoy this clip of the soon to be Foodie-in-Chief on a never-aired episode of WTTW's "Check Please," extolling the virtues of the johnnycakes, peach cobbler and Southern sampler at Chicago's Dixie Kitchen and Bait Shop.
The "lost" episode will air on WTTW twice on January 16th, again on the 18th and once more on January 20th, the day of Obama's inauguration.

Wow and you guys thought we made Bush into the new messiah. At least we didn't hang on every word he said every day of our GD lives.
HeyLynn, It's obvious to me that you are jealous of Michelle Obama. She is everything you are not and more. You probably sit in front of your computer eating and "spreading". As well as emptying your sick brain of the garbage it has in it like hate, fear and jealousy. Get your eyes checked, Michelle is well proportioned for her height, she is "fit" and healthly. Can you say the same? Lynn, you might think about getting a life. Or did you life begin when the Obamas came on the scene? If bashing them is your life, you might as well stop living!!
