Dipping sauces abound in today's market. I love them. I love dipping things in copious amounts of ranch, hummus, or pesto, as I've discussed before. Another genre of dip I really like? Spicy. I've been known to eat salsa from the jar with a spoon (not Pace Picante Sauce, though, it's like they shaped that thing just to thwart me). What? It's vegetables!
One of my favorite ways to spice up any pre-existing dip, or soup, pasta, or other dish is the strangely addicting and unpronounceable Sriracha sauce at right. Many call it "Red Rooster Sauce," but it is actually named after the city of Si Racha, Thailand, and pronounced "SEE-rah-chah."
This stuff is excellent for clearing sinuses, as well. Seriously, pick up kleenex in the same shopping trip.
Know what else to pick up to make the ultimate, delicious, light and spicy dip for chips or veggies? Kraft Miracle Whip Light. 20 calories per tablespoon, and if you mix in just enough Sriracha to make it just-bearably spicy? Heaven. It's like, the best thing that ever happened to finger-food.
